Hold out

I will hold out for real love

I will hold out for intimacy

I will hold out until my heart is ready

I will hold out for God’s timing

I will hold out for purity

I will hold out for just one man or woman

I will hold out so that I can have butterflies

I will hold out for all that is sacred in God’s eyes

I will hold out when others around me are giving in

I will hold out as long as it takes

I will hold out my open heart to You, Lord

I will hold out my empty hand and wait

I will hold out for my future husband

I will hold out for my future wife

I know, I know, the last post was about love and relationships and here I am again with another on the topic. I received quite a bit of feedback from you, men, women, teenagers, on the last post requesting further discussions. I truly am grateful for the feedback and hope I can continue the discourse in some of your areas of interest. Now, I am no expert, but there are some things I have been taught and standards I hope to attain, maintain and share with you on this journey.

So you know, June is boy girl smiley 2one of those “love months”. I can’t tell you how many weddings or engagement announcements take place round about this time…Maybe it’s the warmth of the sun, the cooing of the birds or maybe it’s just plain old love.

Anyway, I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced it but truth be told, while we waiting ladies and gentlemen rejoice with our friends and brethren who are moving on and into new unions…many of us ponder and eagerly anticipate our turn…some of us to the point of worry and desperation *yikes* With that being said, I’d like to encourage my waiting (single) sisters and brothers, to HOLD OUT.

The start of a new journey

Mike Dooley said, “when just starting out on a new journey it’s only natural to feel vulnerable. After all, it may seem that you have much to lose. But never again, at any other point in the same journey, will you have so much to gain”.

This journey has been years in the making…some amount of procrastination and life happening influenced that…but I never lost sight of the vision and butterflies I had the first time I had dreams of starting a blog that spoke to concerns we have as young Christians…it just happened to take some time to come to fruition. I don’t know when this journey will end, will it? Some journeys don’t have endings, they lead to new beginnings. These are the journeys that lead to great adventures!

All I know is wherever this journey leads, I want to share my experiences, engage in meaningful discussions and God’s grace with you. I hope it inspires you to do the same for others.

There is a journey that’s waiting for each of us, you will make great discoveries, you will find treasures and hidden powers, it’s a journey divinely designed just for you, so be brave in self-love and start the journey within yourself, there God is waiting to show you his masterpiece of love. Micheline Jean Louis
